Group for methodologies for the pedagogical psychological assessment of a child
LĮŠC‘s Group of Methodologies for Pedagogical Psychological Assessment of Children performs these functions:
- Provides informational, methodological, consultative assistance on pedagogical psychological assessment issues for educational support specialists working in schools, pedagogical psychological services, regional special education centres;
- Analyses and systematizes information about the innovations of the child’s pedagogical psychological assessment, organizes its dissemination to interested parties;
- Coordinates the preparation, adaptation & updates, and implementation of methodologies and instruments for the pedagogical psychological assessment of the child;
- Carries out activities for the improvement of the qualification of educational support specialists in order to help to use methodologies and assessment instruments for the pedagogical psychological assessment and determination of children’s individual educational needs, organizes supervisions;
- Prepares methodological material on the principles, procedures, instruments of pedagogical psychological assessment of the child and the effectiveness of their application. Organizes its dissemination to educators and pupil support specialists;
- If necessary, performs pedagogical psychological assessment of the child and consults their parents (guardians, caregivers), pedagogical staff and pupils’ assistants;
- Participates in the preparation of drafting legal acts related to the pedagogical psychological assessment of pupils;
- Represents in international organizations, participates in the activities of international organizations, collects and shares information about advanced innovations in inclusion in education implemented worldwide and their application practices.
