Learning Disorders group

LĮŠC Learning Disorders group from performs the following functions:

  • Provides informational, expert, consulting, methodological assistance to educators, parents (guardians, caregivers), educational support specialists and educational assistance specialists of pedagogical psychological services and regional special education centers, issues of inclusive education of children with learning disabilities;
  • Organizes the development of methodologies and instruments for learning disorders for the students, the introduction of educational innovations and good practices, and the provision of methodological assistance to employees of educational institutions. Organizes, as necessary, the assessment of the content of textbooks and special teaching aids adapted to students with learning disabilities, advises the organizers and publishers of these tools;
  • Initiates and carries out the monitoring and dissemination of the provision of special teaching aids to students with special educational needs;
  • Participates in the processes of ensuring the quality of the teacher's professional development system, prepares and implements competence improvement measures, programs, projects, initiates innovations in this field;
  • Develops methodological recommendations on the provision of educational assistance to children with learning disabilities;
  • Represents in international organizations, participates in the activities of international organizations, collects and shares information about the advanced innovations of inclusion in education and practices in their application implemented around the world.
